Compliance Group

Compliance Group Limited (CGL) is becoming a leading national building testing and compliance business. Focusing on providing integrated electrical, water and fire compliance services. CGL applies best of breed technology solutions to efficiently ensure customers are fully compliant.

CGL includes specialist divisions for: electrical testing, fire prevention and water testing. Each offers best of breed solutions which can be combined into a single solution. Its proprietary software system, xComply, enables customers to be able to continually monitor all of their estate and to become aware of issues promptly.

The business is led by Mark Davies, a former CEO of Chubb Fire, and was acquired by Ansor Fund I in 2020.

Since founding in 2019 the CGL team has completed five acquisitions. Ansor has supported the development of the business’s software offering, initially through the acquisition of Smart Building Systems and then through the development of xComply.

Recent acquisitions have included Zeta Compliance, Flair Developments and Electrical Installation and Appliance Testing (UK) Ltd.

4C Procurement

4C Procurement (4C) is a leading procurement and supply chain services firm. It provides procurement consultancy, technology and managed services to corporate customers. It is an emerging leader in digital procurement.

4C combines specialist procurement businesses focusing on different sectors:

  • 4C Associates focuses on working with global companies to reduce their procurement costs.
  • Ebit works with retailers to better manage overhead costs and to optimise their cost of goods sold.
  • MCP2 group focuses on public sector procurement, in particular working with local authorities, housing associations and universities

The business is led by Simon Terry, a former head of IBM’s EMEA supply chain division and Rohit Moudgil, CFO.

The business was acquired by Ansor Fund I in 2020. The 4C team has completed the acquisitions of MCP2 and Ebit in 2020. Ansor is supporting the development of 4C’s proprietary system to enable procurement, 4Pi.


Efficient Building Solutions

Efficient Building Solutions (EBS) is the UK’s leading business focused on design, consultancy, product supply and installation of low energy technology and products into residential and small commercial buildings.

EBS combines:

  • Leading design, consultancy and advice on making new and existing buildings energy efficient through its Qoda and Enhabit businesses. It has a particular expertise in making buildings Passivhaus (which require almost no net energy to operate).
  • Supplying and installing best of breed low energy products including proprietary triple glazed windows, air and ground source heat pumps, solar PV, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery systems (MVHR) and insulation.

The business is led by Philip Fellowes-Prynne, formerly CEO of May Gurney.

EBS was acquired by Ansor Fund I in 2020 and since then the EBS team has completed three acquisitions: Bright Green Renewables, GoEco Renewables and Qoda Consulting.

ALS Dental

ALS Dental is the UK’s largest dental laboratory business. It is a pioneer in digital dentistry and it focuses on using automation to manufacture a full range of dental products, including crowns, bridges, implants, dentures and whitening trays, as well as orthodontic products (aligners, braces, splints and retainers).

The business is led by CEO Tom Lavery, formerly Managing Director and Chairman of Johnson & Johnson Medical UK & Ireland, and Kenny Burns, CFO.

Ansor has supported the business in developing and automating 3-D printing and automated digital manufacturing as well as in providing intra oral scanners to dentists.

The business was acquired by Ansor Fund I in 2019 and since then the ALS team has completed six acquisitions: Leca Dental, Ashford Orthodontics, Dental Technique, Casterbridge Solutions, Cardiff Orthodontics, Woodford Dental Services and Passion Dental Design.


The Apartment Network

The Apartment Network (TAN) was acquired by Ansor Fund I in 2020. TAN is a booking platform for corporate apartments. It offers a combination of an agency based model together with an innovative managed services offering for corporate clients.

The business is led by Marcos Isaac, previously at Open Destinations Ltd, a leading Travel Technology provider. Formerly, Marcos was a senior executive at Amadeus in Madrid and HRS Group in Cologne.

Ansor has supported the business in developing its technology offering and in rolling out its services internationally, particularly in France and Germany (where Patrick Diemer, former CEO of Lufthansa Airplus, is Senior Adviser).
